Surfer is Hunter’s younger brother and as Mireille his breeder teased us with photos of him growing up, we caved in as somehow knew he was meant to be with us and so we went to get him in April 2017. Surfer is a very exciting prospect so far and is developing very nicely and we are very excited about him. He made his debut at Border Union in 2017 where he took BPD in nice company but needed some time to settle and get his head around it all and for his true attitude to shine. He did enough at Leeds to win BPIB and then BPIS at the Chinese Crested Club of GB show and then was selectively shown at outside shows this summer winning numerous classes and to date never being placed out of the top 3. 2018 saw Surfer shown a handful of times but he certainly came back with style showing his socks off to win the RCC at both Leeds, Bournemouth & Richmond in strong competition! Surfer took the winter off and then came back out at UK Toy winning Limit Dog and the RCC under breed specialist Margaret Kempster and then at Windsor under Leila Tarabad! He then took his 6th RCC at SKC under Stephen Bardwell where he won his 6th Limit with very limited showing to date and has since won his way out of the class. We are excited about this boys futures and are thrilled he has won so many RCC already, especially when most were where a kennel mate had take the CC. Surfer came back out at Southern Counties 2021 after the Covid break and finally got our full attention and as a result just shone. He won the CC there under Jude Reyes and then the following show East of England took his 2nd CC under Raewyn Dowsett. Then to make 3 shows on the trot he gained his crown at Leeds under Howard Ogden and decided to go one better winning a 4th CC the same day at the CCCGB Club show under breed Specialist Di Rich. To say we are overwhelmed is an understatement and are so proud of him. Next came Bath where Surfer won Open Dog and then took the RCC under David Guy to our veteran who won the CC that day – what a super day! He had a bit of a break and then at SKC 2 wont his 5th CC & BOB under Derfel Owen making him top Male for 2021 so we really are thrilled. 2022 has seen Surfer shown twice where he won the DCC and RBIS under Tony Alcock at the Chinese Crested Club of Great Britain champ show and then DCC at Blackpool under Frank Kane. We are looking forward to occasionally show him in the future as he really does love it so much!
