We were not looking for another dog but Sylwia’s litter caught our eye and we followed its progress. One day I said to Paul wow, look how lovely this puppy is and he agreed and I thought nothing more of it. The next I knew Paul was telling me that he had arranged it with Sylwia and Monkey was an early Christmas Present from him! Wow I was blown away! So off we went to Holland and back we came with this lovely little boy, whom we are so lucky to have been entrusted with by Sylwia.

We decided to make the trip back to Holland for his first show and at just 6 months he commanded the ring and won BOB puppy at both the Holland Cup and the Amsterdam Winners Show, We were delighted!

He then attended a few open shows winning BPIB and RBOB at both and then a Toy Puppy Group One. At his first Championship show at Manchester he won BPIB in very tough competition and was also considered for the RCC by Judge Margaret Boulcott but she gave to his kennel mate Kiddy instead.

Sadly Monkey was later diagnosed with LCP and was operated on in March 2015 and began the long recovery process but is now the same crazy boy he always was, living a full on normal life now racing about with his pals.

We were very fortunate in December 2015 to finally gain Kennel Club Permission to show him and he made his return to the ring at Boston where he took 2nd in Post Graduate and then at Manchester took 2nd in Limit Qualifying for Crufts 2016 and then got a reserve at Crufts from 19 dogs! At East of England he came for a day out and was third in a lovely limit class qualifying for Crufts 2017. We are super happy, as is he in being back in the ring and look forward to occasionally showing him and reinforcing the message of honesty paying off!
